A member of Team Rainbow, Iana is confident, determined, and curious.
In addition to her weapon, Iana also uses the Gemini Replicator to create a holographic projection identical to herself, both for intelligence gathering and decoy purposes.
Imaging tests reveal clear, normal outlines of internal organs, and no abnormal shadows have been detected. Originium granules have not been detected in the circulatory system and there is no sign of infection. At this time, this operator is believed to be uninfected.

[Cell-Originium Assimilation] 0%
Iana shows no sign of Originium infection.

Nienke 'Iana' Meijer is a member of Team Rainbow. She was involved in the Krysztauowa Incident and became an associate of Rhodes Island following the conclusion of that incident.
Iana has demonstrated impressive tactical acumen and processing of battlefield intelligence. While much of her background remains unknown, we hypothesize that she is a highly experienced intelligence operative.
He response to this hypothesis was a laugh.
'Well, I guess it's not entirely wrong. But the intelligence that I'm most interested in is usually thousands of kilometers away.' As she spoke, she aimed and fired, scoring a bullseye on a target fifty meters away.
Each member of Team Rainbow brings to the table their own set of specialized skills. That said, given they have not formalized any long-term contract with Rhodes Island, it would be advisable not to call on them for too many missions.
Of the eight members of Team Rainbow who have established contact with Rhodes Island, none is more curious than Iana.
The other members focus their efforts on specific fields, such as Doc with Oripathy, and Blitz with languages, but Iana is like an extraction device running 24/7, passionately taking in knowledge from everywhere and every walk of life, and not just at a surface level either; she processes and analyzes a massive amount of data, arriving at certain unique perspectives.
Her tireless effort seems more befitting of a curious researcher than an intelligence operative.
Iana's engineering and surveying skills are beyond our comprehension. Even without access to the equipment that she is used to, she managed to cobble together some makeshift devices with the help of the Engineering Department.
That equipment was almost immediately put to good use. Even though it was very different from the technology that Iana is familiar with, her surveying equipment helped Rhodes Island detect and avoid newly-created adverse terrain that had not yet been mapped, giving us more time to resupply.
'All systems are complementary, if you know how to connect them.' Other engineers have also began to adopt Iana's favorite saying.
[Classified Log]
Iana's physical examination revealed below-average vision, another symptom of the genetic condition that causes her to lack skin and hair color pigments. Her condition has only made her more determined and confident, and more aware of the discrimination and exclusion faced by those suffering from illness.
She thus feels a natural affinity with the Infected, a sense of empathy that, for the Infected, is sometimes even more important than a dose of suppressant.
[Classified Log]
I must admit that no equipment has troubled me more than the Gemini Replicator. At first sight, I thought it would be easier to deal with than those strange guns that Team Rainbow carries. After all, even Redmark mercenaries get their hands on holographic projectors.
Imagine my surprise when I found that the Gemini Replicator did not rely on any Originium Arts, and performed far better than any holographic projector I have ever seen.
There is little I could do with it, other than adapt it for Originium batteries. Honestly, I'm more worried that I might break the sensitive equipment inside—not that it's as fragile as it looks at first sight, but I'm very interested in its design principles. I hope to learn more about it from Iana.

That's not a reason to fail to show up to work. I'm cutting your pay if I catch you having tea with Iana again when you should be working.

'Commence voice recording. Rhodes Island, Team Rainbow, codename: Iana. Internal team comms, confidential.
'Uh, X days since the transfer incident—I'll fill that in once I get back to base—and 41 days since beginning experiments in Sargon.
'While sun was up, retrieved all cameras we deployed on the first day. Currently loading obtained images into terminals. Terminals here can only do wired connections to the server, and the server in my car isn't powerful enough to handle my processing needs, so any specific analysis needs to wait until I get back to base.
'I brought along my eyes and brain too, so while it's loading I've been going through these photos manually since sunup. That way I can at least get some preliminary hypotheses going, and can to some extent inspect and verify the results we've previously observed elsewhere.
'The Columbians—I mean, Terran Columbians—recently launched an experimental device that's likely a high-energy particle beam. Opened a hole in the sky. 'The sky is fake' will probably end up as common sense and popular opinion.
'Meanwhile, our own experiment seems likely to help infer the coherence and uniformity of this false sky.
'Just examining the photos with the naked eye, the stars demonstrate clear discontinuities between different times and regions. Far worse than what the literature describes. Conclusion waiting on main server analysis, but I estimate it won't be too far from my first instinct.
'This implies the sky has no coherence whatsoever, and is essentially more of a regional projection originating from outside. I have a few other conjectures as well.
'That said, I still have confidence in the terrestrial planet hypothesis—ordinary optical surveys support this. While most locals may not be able to give a full justification, universally they have an awareness—they've likely never seen the sea their whole lives, but they know the land beneath them is actually round.
'The people here understand wireless technology, but their signals seem unable to reach this planet's ionosphere. Their alternative is a sort of linked relay: ultra-high bandwidth, energy cost practically negligible. But it appears that because of this, they've never tried to use medium-wave signals for long-range wireless communication. I can't tell just from the literature whether the issue is with the D or F layer—of course, this assumes Terra has atmospheric and sunlight conditions comparable to Earth. I personally think this is extremely likely.
'Their technology, the way it shifts, and the root of its development may seem completely unlike ours, but counterintuitively there are similarities too.
    '......
'Actually, I replicated Karl Jansky's experiment here. Nobody seems to have thought of it, so it fell to me to do it for them. Couldn't help myself, sorry.
'These local Terrans don't know where we merry few came from, but their curiosity in the world outside this planetarium is growing as I speak.
'And I want to help them. I want to be one of the explorers.
'I've always wanted to, no matter where.
    '......
'Alright, let's see what signals the antenna's picking up...
    'Huh?
    'This intensity, this... period...
    'What is this?'
