Elżbieta 'Ela' Bosak is a member of Team Rainbow. She was involved in the Krysztauowa Incident and became an associate of Rhodes Island following the conclusion of that incident.
As leaders of their respective squads, Ela presents a very different first impression from the cautious and serious Ash.
Do not mistake her artistic energy and creativity for inexperience or incompetence, however. She is an outstanding combatant, with excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
It is worth mentioning that Team Rainbow members are only working with us temporarily. They are not formally employed by Rhodes Island, and with how much they have on their hands, it would not be advisable to call on their help too often.
Ela is the most independent and mercurial member of Team Rainbow that we have encountered.
She can pick up a spraypaint can and hang out with operators who hail from the streets, talk at length about advanced art theory, or hand a blanket to a patient sitting outside the Medical Department and strike up a conversation.
When the application of force is called for, she can deploy her Grzmot mine with great precision, or lead an elite squad to achieve its objectives.
The combination of art and military in her background may remind some of Leithanien casters, but she shares few other traits with them. It is hard to define her, and that's how she likes it.
Ela prefers to listen to other people's stories over telling her own. In this unfamiliar place, every story increases her understanding of the people and things around her.
With her own story, however, Ela is often evasive, except when talking of her grandfather, if an operator should ask about the old uniform she carries. Of her other family, Ela says little, except that her father is dead, and that she is not on good terms with her sister.
Although Ela's attitude is cold when she talks of her sister, she displays a little bit of pride when discussing how she has embarked on this unknown journey, while her sister has not. When asked how she would describe the experience to her sister, Ela paused, then said, 'Let's make sure I get to see her again first.'
Ela is skeptical of authority, and not afraid to butt heads with superiors over orders that seem unreasonable.
That does not mean she objects to everything indiscriminately, only that her ability, independent nature and strong will make her unwilling to accept an overbearing attitude from those who are less informed, something that is perhaps colored by her previous experiences. On the other hand, pairing Ela with good teammates and giving astute commands goes a long way toward avoiding conflict with her.
As a matter of fact, Ela has maintained a good relationship with Rhodes Island following an initial acclimation period, partly because Rhodes Island does not interfere with Team Rainbow's operations, and partly because Rhodes Island has demonstrated trustworthy competence, while also trusting Ela's decisions in the field.

Modification of the Grzmot mine's core components was not difficult, thanks to previous experience with the G52 Tactical Shield. While the two weapons disable enemies in different ways, it was not difficult to recreate the Grzmot's effect using Originium products
The sensor was the bigger issue, but not one that our Originium engineers couldn't handle. This old Caprinae even spent a whole lunchtime with Ela discussing whether to add new features to the Grzmot mine.
It was the adhesives that proved the most challenging. Ela was very particular about the feel, and we tried a lot of materials with little success, from the latest Columbian ones to traditional Sargonian crafts. It was Operator Vanilla who provided a breakthrough, as the Originium Slug that she keeps secretes a slime that can be processed to a satisfactory consistency.
After giving Vanilla a written guarantee, the Originium Slug now resides in a small pen in a corner of the workshop. Vanilla visits it every day, as does Tachanka when he is around. As a matter of fact, the Originium Slug has been fed so well that its slime production rate is beginning to outpace Grzmot mine production.
