Nyamu Yūtenji demonstrated great curiosity about Rhodes Island the moment she set foot on the ship. Outside of work, she can often be seen studying Rhodes Island and Terra in the archives, always declining with a smile when asked if she's in need of any help. There are still many mysteries about her.

Nyamu is not just a very physically capable drummer; her bright and friendly personality has also made her many friends amongst the operators. Yet she is also highly observant, and sensitive to changes in other people's moods. By inferring what people are thinking based on their expression and body language, she is able to respond appropriately and maintain a positive atmosphere.
Everyone in the Medical Department recognizes how kind and gentle Nyamu is, though she is loath to admit it herself.

We thought it Nyamu's talent that allowed her to perform so well, both in her band and in her work at Rhodes Island.
It was only later that we learned it was not simply about talent, but the constant hard work that she puts in on her own. She is never satisfied, always pushing herself to move forward, as though the idea she could be at a standstill angers and terrifies her.
Hopefully, she will find the opportunity to slow down and take a little time off while she is on Rhodes Island.

Nyamu will spare no effort in pursuit of her dreams.
We have come to a hypothesis based on her actions and on excerpts of information from other Mujica members.
Nyamu is used to following the path that she believes to be most efficient, paying no heed to what other people think. Indeed, she could not even spare the time to think about whether she should give up or not.
In the presence of true genius, she found herself both awed and envious, and such emotions further fuel her fire.

Sailing for her goal in a straight line comes naturally to Nyamu, be it in dreams or reality; it is a notion she takes for granted.
It is fortunate, then, that she could rediscover the love she once abandoned.
She will not remember what transpired here when she wakes from the dream and returns to her old life, but she will continue to pursue her ideals. May a part of this dream stay with her and give her courage—

'Thank you, Miss Nyamu! When my stone disease is better, do you think I can become as pretty as you?'
'Of course you can! And I'll do your makeup even cuter for you then.'
'How about, you become my teacher then! And, and I want you to teach me how to play the drums all cool as well!' The child moved her limbs about, mimicking Nyamu's playing.
'Ooh, I'm a strict teacher. You sure you're ready?' Nyamu grinned. 'But first you heal up, then you can work on your skills, capiche?'
'Capiche! I'm gonna listen to everything the doctors say! Mom says if I do that, I'm sure to get better!'
'Good, good, there's a good kid. Listen, my name? It's 'Nyamu', which means 'young wheat'. See, wheat always grows stronger even when trampled on. If you wanna be my apprentice, you've gotta promise never to give up, just like me.'
'I promise! Okay, I've gotta go now! Miss Nyamu, Miss Goldenglow, bye-bye!'
Rhodes Island was host to plenty of young, carefree children like her. For them, getting prettied up by Goldenglow and Nyamu was a form of bragging rights.
'You're incredible, Nyamu. You can play the drums, you can do makeup... I can't help but be in awe. How did you learn to do so many things?'
'How, huh...? I look at all the talent around me and I'm like, I wanna work harder to catch up to them! Also, if we're playing the compliments game, your hairdressing skills are out of this world!'
'Y-You're just saying that! I've still got so much to learn...' Goldenglow replies with a chuckle, before adding on.
'Also, Nyamu, I've got to say, you're really good with children.'
'Yeah, thank the brats in the family. My big brothers and sisters used to care for me a lot when I was little, then I took over to look after my li'l sibs.'
'Me too! I guess we've both got heaps of siblings in the family!'
'Ahahah, no kidding. But yeah, I think that's why I'm pretty good at handling kids now.'
Hearing those words, Goldenglow smiles and doesn't respond. Nyamu, for her part, looks perplexed at the reaction.
'Hmm? Something funny about that?'
'No, no. It's just... I wouldn't call it 'handling' kids.' Goldenglow pauses, then adds. 'I mean, you should see how you look while you're talking to the kids. You treat them with genuine care.'
Nyamu looks away, a touch embarrassed, and doesn't have anything to say for a while after that. All the while, Goldenglow returns to cleaning up the salon, smile still on her face.
